Introduction
Mike was a wrestler in high school and a general “gym rat” all the way up to his mid-twenties. After his family began growing and his career began requiring more of his time, Mike essentially decided to put his overall health at a very low priority. While also being a smoker since his teenage years, Mike found himself in his early 30s, looking and feeling at least 10 years older than that. After kicking the smoking habit in February 2014, Mike began to rekindle his interest in being active and lifting weights. After seeing posts from friends on social media about CrossFit, Mike decided to wander in and began his first essentials class in July of that same year. 6 months later and about 40lbs lighter, Mike began to see that he could not only be in the best shape of his life, but he might be pretty decent at this whole competitive fitness thing.
Fast forward about 3 years and Mike decided to take his CrossFit experience to the next level so he went out and obtained his Level 1 certification from CrossFit and began coaching immediately after. He was astonished at how much more he learned about proper movement and technique just by breaking down the basics to a new member and has grown as a CrossFitter through that experience. Above all though, Mike loves the opportunity to motivate and inspire confidence in members who are just beginning this journey. He knows that he would never have gotten to where he is without the amazing coaching he received.
Mike lives in Spring Hill, TN with his 3 amazing kids. He spends his weekdays as the Chief Revenue Officer of Nationwide Property & Appraisal Services, a national Appraisal Management Company which services the appraisal needs of local and national lending institutions. Mike loves what he does for his day job and is especially fond of the freedom it allows him to pursue CrossFit and his many other passions
